THE FREE IRAN RALLY

By INU Staff
INU - Ahead of this Saturday’s #FreeIran2018 rally in Paris, there has been a lot of discussion about the Iranian Resistance coalition, the National Council of the Resistance of Iran (NCRI), especially its leader Maryam Rajavi and its largest group the People’s Mujahedin Organisation of Iran (MEK).
The Washington Times published a report, entitled “Iran: the Alternative”, and argued that the NCRIwere the only democratic alternative to the mullahs’ rule. Let’s look at some of their key points.
Shaking the Regime’s authority
The report began by tracking the anti-regime uprising in Iran that began in late December, quickly spreading across the whole country, and continues in Iran to this day. These protests, in 142 cities, united the Iranian population in their anger at the Regime’s tyranny and incompetence. They are only strengthened by the strikes in many of Iran’s core industries, including logistics, metalworks, and manufacturing.
The people of Iran, infuriated by arbitrary violence, executions, a failing economy, took to the streets. They came from every walk of life, including the working classes and the rural communities that the Regime had long relied on for support. The Iranian people put down their work equipment and picked up protest signs.
This was an important moment. It showed the world that regime change is the true desire of the Iranian people and that the mullahs’ grip on power is fading fast.
A new leader
The Washington Times piece than discussed Maryam Rajavi’s ten-point plan for a Free Iran after the fall of the mullahs, which includes the abolishment of the death penalty, restoring democracy to Iran, and an independent judiciary system.
Maryam Rajavi’s vision for Iran is one founded on equality and tolerance, free from the religious oppression of the mullahs, with laws that promote gender equality, human rights, and equal employment opportunities.

Washington Lobbyist Harasses John Bolton for Past Iranian MEK Support

London, 26 Jun - With regards to Iran and particularly the recent developments after the last December and January uprising in the country, and President Trump’s Iran-nuclear-deal exit, the US National Security Advisor John Bolton has certainly been an outspoken and steadfast personality supporting the current US-Iran foreign policy agenda.
For many years Iranian dissident supporters of the MEK (Mujahedeen-e Khalq of Iran) in Europe and United States have come to respect and count on Mr. Bolton for his support for freedom of Iran and the notion of a regime change in that country.
Beside Mr. Bolton, there are many prominent and respected US political personalities from both parties that anxiously support a policy of regime change in Iran for the United States. With current state-of-affairs in Iran right now, that dream may not be too far from being fulfilled ending a 40 year long nightmare for Iran, the region, and the United States.
MEK, as an organization that has struggled against two dictatorships of Shah and Khomeini for more than 50 years, has become the pivotal organization in recent years standing against the mullahs’ rule of executions and terror.
The mullahs’ regime and its lobbyists in the west managed to blacklist the MEK organization with the help of proponents of the appeasement policy in the .

But, after many years of continuous hardship and many sacrifices, the MEK managed to remove itself from all lists establishing itself as the sole resistance movement, with widespread support among Iranians inside and outside the country that is determined and well-situated to bring democracy and regime change to Iran.
The annual gathering of the resistance in Paris about end of June each year – bringing in about 100,000 supporters each year – has been an obvious display of MEK’s large and widespread support among Iranians and the capacity that it carries to overthrow the religious-dictatorial regime of mullahs replacing it with a democratic republic.
Despite mullahs’ complete and brutal crackdown on the media and public, one can still see how this organization is truly effective in the internal political scene and developments of Iran. The most outspoken people about MEK’s support inside the country are not their supporters, but in fact it is the mullahs’ regime officials and even its supreme leader that confess to the strength and therefore widespread support of the MEK.

“Our incompetent government is responsible
for our nation’s poverty.”
“Our enemy is right here. They’re lying when they say it’s America.”
Shoemakers in Tehran’s Sepahsalar Garden were also seen holding a major rally where their daily demands quickly turned political with a focus shifting on the Iranian regime’s authorities and their entire apparatus.
What begins as slogans against austerity measures and unemployment – two very grave economic matters in Iran – is constantly becoming heated as people shout their enemy is none other than the mullahs’ regime itself.
Significant is how Iran’s middle class is also seen joining the ongoing protests. The current situation, however, is becoming very dire and even the middle class and upper middle class no longer can purchase their needs as they used to before.

June 2018

The statement read of Fossano
Freedom and democracy for Iran, Iranians Grand gathering
For almost four decades the theocratic dictatorship in Iran has oppressed the Iranian people and for this has been repeatedly condemned by the UN and various organizations tasked to defend human rights.
In recent years, Iranians have suffered from the most vicious forms of repression, censorship, and continuous violation of human rights such as public hangings, group executions, torture and sexual abuses of political prisoners, stoning to death, amputation of limbs, arbitrary arrests, and denial of fundamental freedoms.
Over 120,000 dissidents and activists for the democracy and human rights have been executed and their family members have been the subject to arbitrary arrests, atrocious torture and, in some cases, execution.
In the summer of 1988 the Iranian regime extra-judicially executed more than 30,000 political prisoners – mostly members and supporters of the opposition movement the People’s Mojahedin of Iran (PMOI/MEK) in prisons across the country – on the basis of a religious decree (fatwa) issued by the then-supreme leader Ruhollah Khomeini.
Amnesty International has called this mass execution a “crime against humanity” and called for the perpetrators to be brought to justice.

World must hold Iran accountable for its Yemen meddling

Iran-made improvised explosive devices in the shape of a rock and sent to Houthi militias in Yemen
Analysis by PMOI/MEK

June 23, 2018 - Iran’s denial seems ridiculous as evidence of this regime providing weapons to the Houthis in Yemen is becoming undeniable.
More light is shed on the depth of the Iranian regime’s support of Houthi militias as Yemen government forces continue their advances in the strategic Hodaydah port.
The Iranian regime has continuously denied providing arms to the Houthi militias from day one of hostilities in Yemen. Tehran has also vigorously pushed any and all efforts, and suggestions, to find a responsible solution into utter failure.
Yemeni forces, with support provided by the United Arab Emirates military, are saying they now control Al Hodaydah airport and taking over the city will be a significant turning point in this flashpoint country.
Arab coalition commanders are saying they control the Al Hodaydah airport, leading to the discovery and neutralization of around 30,000 mines and improvised explosive devices (IEDs).
This week coalition officials in Abu Dhabi held an exhibition of Iran-made weaponry found in the mentioned airport. These equipments include drones, heavy weaponry, IEDs camouflaged into the shape of rock and even a remote controlled boat packed with explosives. This equipment was provided by Iran to the Houthis in Yemen.
Coalition officials also exposed details of this weaponry bearing markings of the Iranian regime. This included fuel for missiles used by the Houthis.
Saudi Arabian officials are saying the Houthis have launched 150 ballistic missiles from Yemen into Saudi soil.
The world has closed its eyes to Iran’s meddling in the Yemen war. It is now high time for international bodies such as the United Nations to hold the Iranian regime accountable for its measures.
It is worth noting that the Arab coalition held this exhibition in support of Yemen’s legal government. This conglomerate of weapons proves how the Iranian regime is sending smuggled weapons and military technology to the Houthis, and thus violating international laws.
The time for action against Tehran is now.

ANALYSIS: As countdown to Paris protest begins, is ‘Free Iran’ the only alternative

By Reza ShafieeSpecial to Al Arabiya EnglishFriday, 22 June 2018

The Iranian regime showed its true color once again by executing 51-year-old Sufi, Mohammad Reza Salas despite repeated calls from human rights groups and governments to call it off.
Salas was forced into confusion, an old tool used by the regime. A self-incrimination confusion of running over three members of the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Croup (IRGC) with a bus in the heat of February protests by Dervishes in Tehran. According to witnesses Salas’ lawyer cited, he was already in custody for three hours when the bus ran over the three IRGC members.
Salas’ execution brought international condemnation for the regime. Secretary of State, Mike Pompeo tweeted: “We condemn the #Iranregime’s execution of Mohammad Salas, a member of the long-persecuted Iranian  Sufi Dervish community. We call on our partners & allies to join us in condemning his brutal & unjust execution. Iranian people deserve respect for human rights & freedoms.”
Heather Nauert, spokesperson for the US State Department said: “The application of the death penalty, without affording Mr. Salas the fair trial and appeal guarantees to which he was entitled, is a clear violation of Iran’s international human rights obligations”.

SON OF FORMER IRAN DICTATOR PAHLAVI DEFENDS RELIGIOUS FASCISM ATTACKS PMOI/MEK

By INU Staff
INU - Once again demonstrating his hostility towards democracy and popular sovereignty, in an interview with Bloomberg News on June 19th, Reza Pahlavi, the son of a former Iranian dictator who was overthrown by the Iranian people rehashed a number of false accusations against Iran’s democratic opposition, the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK).
The People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran’s rebuttal to the interview, as provided to the Bloomberg News, is reproduced below:
Since the beginning of the twentieth century and the Iranian people’s fight for democracy and national sovereignty, they have been confronted by two separate dictatorships: Monarchy and theocracy. In spite of all their contradictions, these two currents are united on one point: hostility to democracy and the brutal crackdown on its advocates. Democracy means the end of dictatorship in any form.
In 1953, the Shah, with the help of a coup by the CIA and the UK’s Intelligence Service, overthrew the only democratic government in Iran's history, which was led by Dr. Mohammad Mossadegh. The Shah then ruled Iran by terror and suppression for 25 years.
Khomeini’s predecessor, mullah Kashani, was the most important internal factor in the coup and the crackdown on democracy advocates. In 1908, two years after the Constitutional Revolution, when the Qajar King, with the help of the Tsarist Party of Russia, shot down the Majlis (National Assembly), the internal support of the reactionary mullahs was led by Sheikh Fazlullah Nuri. These two mullahs were mentors to Khomeini and his regime and they were honored and praised by him on numerous occasions.

Annual Iranian Resistance Gathering in Paris

Annual Iranian Resistance Gathering in Paris

In an interview with the Lars Larson radio station on the topic of the Iranian People’s uprising, Ali Reza Jafarzadeh, a representative of the National Council Resistance of Iran in Washington, said that demonstrations and protest movements, which have now grown nation-wide, date back to December 2017 which has continued so far.
Anti-government demonstrations actually erupted to protest against economic conditions, high prices and rampant corruption, but quickly turned into anti-government demonstration. People chanted “death to Khamenei” and “death to Rouhani”. They rejected the whole religious ruling system and demanded freedom.
He added that after the uprising of the Iranian people, there was a large demonstrations in the city of Kazerun where tens of thousands of people participated and entered into confrontations with the IRGC forces and did not retreat.
Recently, a young woman emerged in a main square in the city of Karaj, one of Iran’s major cities near Tehran, and chanted “Death to Khamenei.” She repeated this slogan and people gathered around her. She chose this courageous way of expressing herself to tell other women and men in Iran that this slogan is the true slogan of the Iranian people against the regime.
Jafarzadeh said that since people know their true enemies, there is great motivation and hope for change in Iran. What is seen today in the Iranian scene was not seen in the past.
Jafarzadeh added that an organized opposition has been presented against the Iranian regime over the past fourteen years, which is a mighty opposition based in Paris, with a well-known leadership and clear programs led by a woman, Mrs. Maryam Rajavi. She has offered a 10-point plan for the future of Iran, saying that the only criterion for the legitimacy is what came out of the ballot box and not religious dictatorship.

MEK CALLS ON EUROPE TO PUT IRANIAN HUMAN RIGHTS OVER TRADE DEALS

By INU Staff
INU - Former MEP Struan Stevenson recently wrote an article about the Iranian Regime’s panic and anxiety over the impending collapse on the 2015 nuclear deal, entitled “Iran’s mullahs press the panic button”.
In it, he outlines how the Regime wants to preserve the flawed deal through any means necessary, whilst Iranian Resistance groups, like the People’s Mujahedin Organisation of Iran (MEK), and the Iranian people want the deal to fail in order to bring about regime change in Iran.

MEK SUPPORTS SCRAPPED TRADE DEALS

When the US withdrew from the nuclear deal on May 8, a move that was greatly supported by the MEK, European companies had to decide between trading with Iran and risking heavy US sanctions or cutting ties altogether.
Many companies have righty chosen to cut their ties with the terrorist regime, which is the right thing to do for their business and also for the Iranian people. The reason is that by cutting the amount of money that the Regime gets, it will reduce the amount that they can spend on having their suppressive security forces silence the Iranian people for protesting the Regime or joining the MEK.
Regime’s begs and threats
The Regime has attempted to salvage the deal, with Iranian Foreign Affairs Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif and Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei pleading with the European Union to “make up for Iran’s losses” by increasing their trade with Iran.
But at the same time, the Regime has started work on a new centrifuge-assembly centre at Natanz – one of the many secret nuclear sites that the MEK exposed to the West in 2002 - and ordered the increased enrichment of uranium. This was designed to threaten Europe into complying with Regime demands rather than work in the best interests of the Iranian people or regional and international peace.
