Washington Lobbyist Harasses John Bolton for Past Iranian MEK Support

London, 26 Jun - With regards to Iran and particularly the recent developments after the last December and January uprising in the country, and President Trump’s Iran-nuclear-deal exit, the US National Security Advisor John Bolton has certainly been an outspoken and steadfast personality supporting the current US-Iran foreign policy agenda.
For many years Iranian dissident supporters of the MEK (Mujahedeen-e Khalq of Iran) in Europe and United States have come to respect and count on Mr. Bolton for his support for freedom of Iran and the notion of a regime change in that country.
Beside Mr. Bolton, there are many prominent and respected US political personalities from both parties that anxiously support a policy of regime change in Iran for the United States. With current state-of-affairs in Iran right now, that dream may not be too far from being fulfilled ending a 40 year long nightmare for Iran, the region, and the United States.
MEK, as an organization that has struggled against two dictatorships of Shah and Khomeini for more than 50 years, has become the pivotal organization in recent years standing against the mullahs’ rule of executions and terror.
The mullahs’ regime and its lobbyists in the west managed to blacklist the MEK organization with the help of proponents of the appeasement policy in the .

But, after many years of continuous hardship and many sacrifices, the MEK managed to remove itself from all lists establishing itself as the sole resistance movement, with widespread support among Iranians inside and outside the country that is determined and well-situated to bring democracy and regime change to Iran.
The annual gathering of the resistance in Paris about end of June each year – bringing in about 100,000 supporters each year – has been an obvious display of MEK’s large and widespread support among Iranians and the capacity that it carries to overthrow the religious-dictatorial regime of mullahs replacing it with a democratic republic.
Despite mullahs’ complete and brutal crackdown on the media and public, one can still see how this organization is truly effective in the internal political scene and developments of Iran. The most outspoken people about MEK’s support inside the country are not their supporters, but in fact it is the mullahs’ regime officials and even its supreme leader that confess to the strength and therefore widespread support of the MEK.

The Politics That Led to the MEK's Wrongful Terrorist Designation in the Us

The Iranian Resistance group, the Mujahedin-e Khalq (PMOI/MEK), was wrongfully on the US’s list of Foreign Terrorist Organisations  until 2012, but how did it wind up there in the first place?
Let’s take a little look.
The MEK was put on the FTO but evidence suggests it had little to do with the MEK’s actions or beliefs. Instead, the US wanted engagement with the Iranian Regime, which apparently looked to be a permanent fixture in the Middle East by the 1990s, and the simplest way to do that was to label the MEK as a terrorist group. The West didn’t see regime change as an option then.
This was even admitted to by Martin Indyk, Assistant Secretary of State for Near Eastern Affairs in the Clinton Administration, who said: “[There] was White House interest in opening up a dialogue with the Iranian government. Top Administration officials saw cracking down on the [MEK], which the Iranians had made clear they saw as a menace, as one way to do so.”
This is similar to the tactics used in the 1980s during the Iran-Contra scandal. In exchange for the release of American hostages being held in Lebanon by proxies of the Iranian Regime, the US State Department had to issue a statement accusing the MEK of terrorism. The Tower Commission Report cited a letter from Iranian negotiator, Manouchehr Ghorbanifar, to his US counterpart, which listed that as one of nine demands from the Regime.
A decade later, the State Department added the MEK to the FTO to appease Iranian President Mohammad Khatami, wrongly perceived as a moderate by the US.
A senior Clinton administration official even admitted this to the LA Times. They said: “The inclusion of the People’s Mujahedin was intended as a goodwill gesture to Tehran and its newly elected president, Mohammed Khatami.”
The evidence that the West provided to justify the designation was shaky at best. They alleged that:

Blackwell Letter to Haley: U.N. Must Investigate Massacre in Iran—30,000 Dead in 1988

WASHINGTON—Former Ambassador Ken Blackwell sent a letter to current Ambassador Nikki Haley on Friday, urging the top U.S. diplomat at the United Nations to investigate horrific state-sponsored mass murders in Iran in 1988 that were finally confirmed with evidence just discovered last year.

In addition to having held several elected offices and been confirmed by the U.S. Senate to other presidentially appointed offices, Blackwell served as U.S. ambassador to the United Nations Human Rights Commission under President George H.W. Bush 25 years ago. He has remained active in the senior ranks of U.S. statesmen in foreign policy over the subsequent quarter-century.
In his letter to the current holder of the most prestigious ambassadorship in America’s Diplomatic Corps—the U.S. ambassador to the United Nations Security Council, Blackwell wrote to Haley about recently discovered evidence of “the massacre of an estimated 30,000 political prisoners in Iran in 1988.”
Blackwell explains that in the 1990s he worked with Dr. Clyde Snow, “one of the world’s foremost experts in forensic anthropology,” whose work uncovered mass graves in Argentina from that country’s “Dirty War,” when Argentina’s military dictator murdered terrible numbers of his own citizens in the late 1970s and early 1980s.

Investigation of Argentina’s “Dirty War” Set Precedent for Inquiry into Iran’s “Summer of Blood”

In the 1990s, I and my distinguished colleague Charlotte Ponticelli had the privilege of working with Dr. Clyde Snow, one of the world’s foremost experts in forensic anthropology, who played an instrumental role in bringing justice to Argentina by uncovering the mass graves left behind by the country’s “Dirty War.” His actions and investigation helped uncover the truth about what was an incredibly deadly series of crimes carried out over nearly a decade. Holding the regime in Argentina accountable set a valuable precedent and demonstrated the global community’s commitment to upholding justice and human rights, which must be maintained today.
After Argentine president Isabel Perón was deposed in 1976, a military junta took over the presidency and government, establishing a dictatorship and placing all levels of government under military control. During the regime’s rule between the 1970s and early 1980s, the dictatorship led by Jorge Rafaél Videla began to hunt down its left-wing political opponents and where tens of thousands were imprisoned and persecuted for their political beliefs.

MICHAEL REAGAN: THE FOLLIES OF APPEASEMENT

By Michael Reagan

Record Courier, Aug. 14, 2017 - Haven’t we learned yet that appeasement doesn’t work? I’m not talking about when the weak-kneed leaders of Britain and France went to Munich in 1938 and essentially gave Czechoslovakia to Hitler to buy a brief period of peace before Europe and the rest of the world went to war.
I’m talking about our more recent dealings with Russian, Iran and North Korea.
We’re in the trouble we’re in with North Korea today because of our continual policy of appeasing the thugs who rule that oppressed and starving Communist paradise.
Most people don’t remember, but we started appeasing North Korea’s dictators in the 1990s when Jimmy Carter was out office and still felt he needed to play global peacemaker.
Carter went to North Korea behind the back of the sitting president, Bill Clinton, and sat down to negotiate a deal to stop them from building nuclear weapons.
He promised North Korea leaders two nuclear reactors and $5 billion in aid if they’d agree to the no-nukes deal and Clinton, not wanting to embarrass a former Democrat president, approved the deal.
Of course it took North Korea about 24 hours to break their promises.
They’ve been working on their nukes ever since, and our presidents have been appeasing them ever since — when they’re not busy appeasing Iran’s religious thugs or Russia’s virtual dictator, Vladimir Putin.
Remember Iran and its nuclear program? Remember how President Obama and everyone on the left fell over each trying to appease the ayatollahs?
How’s that been working out?

Iran Regime's Senior Mullah: Those Who Massacred MEK Members Must Be Rewarded

NCRI - Ahmad Khatami, a member of Iran’s Assembly of Experts’ Board of Chairs, in reaction to the Iranian opposition, The People's Mujahidin Organization of Iran’s (PMOI/MEK) annual gathering in Paris which was held on July 1st. In Tehran’s Friday prayers ceremony stated:
“… I want to discuss my first preach, and that is the [MEK] rally in France… the sheer fact that they are permitted to hold a rally there is practical support for terrorism…,”.

“Then we see some people, in their websites, change the place of martyrs and murderers. It was a divine move by [Iranian regime founder Ruhollah Khomeini] to force the [MEK] out of the country. All those who acted based on these orders, they should be rewarded with medals… however, those who in their websites have changed the place of martyrs and murderers, they should repent and beg for forgiveness.”
It is noteworthy that the former intelligence minister Ali Fallahian, a leading official involved in the 1990s chain murders in Iran, referred to further scope of the 1988 massacre of MEK members.
“This was [Khomeini’s] orders… these people should always be executed, both before and after the 1988 case. [Khomeini] would constantly say be careful they don’t slip out of your hands. He would say we should act based on our religious duties and don’t wait for history to judge us,” he said.
“Regarding the [MEK] and all other groups who are mohareb (enmity against God), the ruling is execution… [Khomeini] said it himself… Mr. Mousavi http://ncr- was the public prosecutor and he would argue there is no prosecution needed for those who are at war with us,” Fallahian added.
This notorious former spy chief also acknowledged even MEK supporters arrested with MEK newspapers have been executed.
