The Secretariat of the National Council of Resistance of Iran issued a statement on February 13, 2018, urging international human rights and women's rights organizations to take urgent action to save the lives of women political prisoners, Atena Daemi and Golrokh Iraee on the 11th day of their hunger strike.

According to the Iranian Resistance, the regime has taken reprisal against Atena Daemi and Golrokh Iraee for declaring support for Iran uprising in late December and early January.

They were brutalized on the night of January 24, and unlawfully transferred to Qarchak Prison in Varamin, where they would be in danger of contracting Hepatitis and other diseases due to low sanitation and contagious diseases rampant in its overcrowded wards.

Iran: Minor to be hanged at 18

The Varamin Public and Revolutionary Prosecutor said on October 10, 2017 that the death sentence for a (minor) identified as Amir who has been convicted of murder will be carried out on October 19, according to the state-run Tasnim news agency.
Abolqasem Moradtalab said that the death penalty had been authorized and will be carried out because the convict will reach the age of 18.

Iran: More than 30 girls and boys arrested in mixed gender party

The Commander of the Varamin Revolutionary Guards Corps announced the arrest of 30 girls and boys in a mixed gender party in the town of Varamin on Sepember 21, 2017, according to the state-run Mehr news agency.
Davoud Asghari said that agents entered a home in Varamin after getting information and identifying the area.
In the mixed gender party, more than 30 girls and boys were arrested and were handed over to judicial authorities for further investigation.
