Iran’s Revealing Remarks About the PMOI/MEK and Grand Gathering in Paris

Iranian society is deeply troubled by the country’s economic and social crises. There has been a significant increase in protests staged by people from all walks of life, including teachers, factory workers, truckers, and others.
The annual Grand Gathering in Paris on June 30 will be held by the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) and this year, it will support Iranian people’s turn of the year uprising, as well as the ongoing protests that have followed. The NCRI promotes the Iranian people’s demand for a regime change, and the gathering shows that Iranian people’s protests are backed both domestically and by the international community.
While the event is still weeks away, officials of Iran and its media have made remarks in a press conference held on Sunday June 11th, 2018. According to Iran’s Foreign Ministry Spokesman, Bahram Ghasemi, “Rouhani’s government has had talks with French officials for cancelling the gathering.”
Ghasemi told France that “the MEK (The People
’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran which is the main force inside NCRI) holds gatherings in France every once in a while. This is not acceptable for Iran, as we’ve said that no double standard approach should be adopted, thereby dividing the terrorism into a good one and a bad one.” He then threatened France, saying “those who give permit for such gatherings are wrong, as they themselves will be affected by the consequences as well.”
The National Security Commission Spokesman, Naghavi Hosseini, also attacked France for hosting MEK’s Grand Gathering in Paris. Hosseini said in an interview with state-run media, “MEK activities in Europe and their gatherings in European countries is contrary to such countries’ claimed policy of fighting against terrorism.” He added, “The MEK is going to harm Iran-Europe relationships”, as well as, “the group is trying to destroy all peaceful interactions between Iran and Europe, and their upcoming gathering is aimed at affecting Europeans’ approach, particularly at a time when JCPOA-related talks are under way between Europe and Iran.”
Warning Iran’s Foreign Ministry about the consequences of NCRI’s Grand Gathering in Paris, Hosseini insisted, “…under such circumstances, Iran’s diplomacy has to start talks with European counterparts, as the Islamic Republic will have to adopt a new and different policy should the Europeans decide to continue their partnership and interaction with the MEK.”
Kazem Jalali, chairman of Iran’s Parliamentary Research Center, as well as the head of Iran-Europe Parliamentary Relationships Group, have both written letters to their counterparts in European and French parliaments and the French Senate, warning them of “NCRI’s hostile moves in France” and expressing “Iran’s disapproval of European countries’ policy that allows such terrorist group’s gatherings be held in Europe.”

140 Belgian Parliamentarians  has issued a solidarity  statement expressing their support Iranian People’s Demands for Democratic Change and the Iranian Diaspora’s annual Paris convention, organized on June 30th.
I am happy to announce the joint statement by 140 parliamentarians in Belgium in support of the current protests, strikes and uprising for a democratic change in Iran. The signatories are from major political parties from the Federal parliament, regional parliaments, European Parliament and the senate.
The uprising which began on 28 December and continued for several weeks, shook Iran. The nationwide protests covered all 31 provinces of Iran and 142 cities.
The parliamentarians stated: “The people of Iran, especially the younger generation, have made it clear that they are fed up with Islamic fundamentalist rule and want a regime change. Many chanted ‘down with the dictator,’ ‘down with Khamenei’ and ‘down with Rouhani.’ Women played an active role in the protests.”
Many protesters have already died in custody under torture. The top leaders of the regime have confessed to the role of the main opposition, PMOI (MEK) in leading the protests.
In May, anti-government protests in city of Kazerun were brutally repressed by the regime, leaving at least 4 dead and hundreds wounded, with many arrests.
In recent weeks Truck drivers have been on an unprecedented nationwide strike all over Iran.

ANALYSIS: Why Iran can’t take a decision similar to North Korea

The historic meeting between the leaders of the United States and North Korea, and the resulting Korean Peninsula denuclearizing deal, has the potential of resolving a decades-old international crisis.
This very important development will most definitely have its impact on another flashpoint in today’s world, being the Middle East, and most importantly, Iran.

Comprehensive document

The meeting between US President Donald Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong-un is the first of its kind following the end of the Korean War back in 1953.
The signed document is currently dubbed as a “Comprehensive Document,” sending a signal to the signatory parties of the 2015 “Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action” over the Iran nuclear program.
This agreement can is a cornerstone to include nuclear disarmament and halting its ballistic missile program by North Korea, and the US lifting its sanctions.
Prior to this signing, the Iranian Foreign Ministry claimed to agree with and welcome any peaceful measure. Following the signing, however, Tehran’s tone changed drastically.
“The North Korean government should be on high alert in this regard,” said Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Bahram Qassemi.
“North Korea should be on alert that the US President is not loyal to his signature,” said Iranian government spokesman Mohammad Reza Nobakht.
Aside from these remarks, senior Iranian officials are concerned of North Korea sharing secrets of their nuclear and missile collaborations with the US and possibly other international community members.

Iran’s Streets Speak Out And Represent The Genuine Iran Opposition

Iran’s streets speak out and represent the genuine Iran opposition
Watching the images of the volcano in Haiti, while volcanic lava flowed down into streets and surprised geologists, recalls the events of the uprising in the cities of Iran, when people, fed up with the dreadful economic conditions and systematic corruption, poured into the streets, like volcanic emission, on the last December, and expressed fury towards the regime.  Shortly afterward, economic claims converted to political demands, and people displayed their hatred of the entire religious dictatorship with their slogans calling for regime change.
“Death to dictator”
“Death to Rouhani”
“Reformist, Hardliner, the game is over”
Tehran mullahs alongside the majority of think tanks promoting the appeasement policy toward Iran, were shocked by the speed at which the protests spread across the country. But, considering the fact that the past four decades with mullahs’ rule in Iran has been marked with repression, severe censorship of news and arbitrary executions and torture of prisoners, nothing is expected save an uprising.
But for the first time, Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, the president-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI), stated in her famous speech at the Iranian Grand Gathering in June 2017 that everything was ready for the overthrow of the mullahs in Tehran. Mrs. Rajavi provided a realistic analysis of the then-domestic and international conditions that was a warning to the mullahs and promised the Iranian people that times have come for freedom in Iran.

Messages Of Solidarity With The Iranian Gathering In Paris

Jordi Solé i Ferrando is a Spanish politician, who, since January 2017 has served as a Member of the European Parliament, representing Spain for the Republican Left of Catalonia
My dear Iranian friends I’m very happy to address this message in solidarity with the Iranian gathering that will be held in Paris on the 30th of June.
In recent weeks and months we have witnessed many protests and uprisings all over Iran. We have seen workers teachers farmers students doctors nurses truck drivers taxi drivers the people of Iran and the people of Sidon and other cities nearly every sector of the Iranian society and every province of Iran has been participating in these protests.
I think the message is clear. People of Iran have had enough. They want change. They want freedom they say. After almost 40 years of dictatorship it’s time for this regime to go. So I think it’s our duty as elected politicians in Europe to defend fundamental values and principles and put human rights and democracy as a priority when dealing with Iran.
As I keep defending in the European Parliament the Iranian opposition under the leadership of Ms. Maryam Rajavi has been leading the resistance against this oppressive regime for many years. Now it’s time to support their quest your quest. For a democratic Iran. I therefore huge everyone to back and participate in the free Iran rally ( Iranian Gathering )on the 30th of June in Paris.
